The puppies have all gained at least a pound this week and made several developmental changes. For one, their eyes are now fully open! They have also started interacting more with us, and playing with each other.

We moved the puppies out of the birthing box into a new pen and they have been exploring that. This week was also finally warm enough to let them experience the outdoors. Annie continues to be a wonderful mother. She lets us hold the puppies, but will keep an eye on them from where she is, and come over if she thinks they need her.

Kip is very interested in the puppies and has been around them more this week. He is very gentle and seems to like them, but sometimes feels a little confused about what to do when they all start crowding around and yipping at him!
